Dive into an exciting interview with Felix Vogg, a successful eventing-equestrian athlete and ambassador for MagnaWave. Discover his achievements, personal insights, and the significance of MagnaWave PEMF in enhancing the health and performance of his horses.
MagnaWave: Hi Felix, thank you for taking a few minutes to talk with us about yourself and MagnaWave. Could you tell us a bit about yourself before we begin?
Felix: "Sure, I'm happy to answer a few questions. My name is Felix Vogg, I'm currently 34 years old, lived in Germany until recently, then moved to France, and now I ride for Switzerland. We currently live near Geneva."
MagnaWave: What achievements have you accomplished so far, and what does a typical day in your life as a sports rider look like – from the stable aisle to the tournament arena?
Felix: "My biggest achievements include a top-10 finish at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, a five-star win at the Luhmühlen Horse Trials, and several other significant five-star successes.
My typical day starts with leaving the house around seven in the morning, heading to the stables, discussing the day's plan with the team, and then doing some exercises for myself. Around half-past seven, I ride the first horse."

MagnaWave: What has been your most emotional moment in the saddle – victory or defeat?
Felix: "My most emotional moment was definitely the five-star win at Luhmühlen. My horse gave its best throughout the weekend and was completely on my side. It was simply beautiful."
MagnaWave: If you could give your younger self advice regarding equestrian sports, what would it be?
Felix: "I would advise my younger self to take more time, not to put too much pressure on, and to have confidence that everything will develop over time. Less worry and reduced pressure would certainly have helped."
MagnaWave: Can you describe a moment when one of your horses completely surprised you?
Felix: "Yes, that was definitely at the Luhmühlen tournament. Because at that time, its biggest weakness was jumping. On the last day, after such a challenging cross-country day before, you could just tell it didn't want to jump anymore, but it still tried everything, used all its qualities, and ultimately secured us the win."

MagnaWave: What do you do to maintain the physical and emotional balance of your horses?
Felix: "We have a person who does physiotherapy with the horses, but they can't be there every day. So, we're fortunate to have a MagnaWave device that we can use. We use it almost daily for some horses, every other day for others, and a few times a week for the rest. It really depends on the horse – it provides great support that I never thought would be so effective."
MagnaWave: Is there a specific situation where you realised, "Wow, MagnaWave applications really made a difference"?
Felix: "Yes, that was actually with myself. You can best tell if there's improvement when you can feel it yourself. It's always different with horses or others, but experiencing it firsthand makes a real difference."
MagnaWave: What specific challenges in training or horse regeneration did you want or want to solve with MagnaWave PEMF?
Felix: "Especially in regeneration. After strenuous training or cross-country rides, you notice the difference. It also shows improvement with stiffer or wiry horses. Sometimes we use it before riding, depending on the horse's needs."
MagnaWave: How do the horses react to the MagnaWave application, and how do you notice the difference?
Felix: "As I mentioned - especially with stiffer horses. Or those who had a demanding program and you ride them the day after treating them. You notice a difference in riding and handling them. It's smoother, and I think it's similar to my own experience, where I felt faster recovery and sometimes could actually address inflammation and pain."
MagnaWave: What role does regeneration and deep relaxation play for both the rider and the horse in your physically demanding sport?
Felix: "A very significant role. We compete in eventing, which already has a tight schedule because we have three disciplines. Cardio, like endurance, is a huge challenge. There are various ways to support it, whether it's physiotherapy, magnetic field blankets, lasers, or my favourite, MagnaWave. So, yes, regeneration is a huge topic for us because after the biggest challenge, the cross-country, it's not over, we continue the next day!”

MagnaWave: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers about horse health or training?
Felix: "Yes, I believe horse health is paramount, and training plays a role in that. Riding should contribute to keeping the horse healthy and comfortable. Personally, I always say, winning five tournaments with a horse that later has health problems is of no benefit.
That's why I'd rather be second or third 30 times or however many, as long as my horse is healthy. I get more out of a healthy horse, I always say, than from a horse that won a few times in its life. So, thank you very much."
MagnaWave: Thank you, Felix, for your time and your words – good luck in this year's tournament season and of course, best wishes to you and your horses for good health.
